Atlanta 6, Chicago 3, game two of three at Wrigley, Atlanta the visitors. All three swings were two-run homers: Ronald Acuña Jr. off Kevin Gausman in the sixth, his 18th; Ozzie Albies off Jacob Webb in the seventh, his 22nd; Drake Baldwin off Edward Cabrera with two out in the ninth, his 24th. Martín Pérez took the win on six innings, three runs, two earned, and Raisel Iglesias closed for his 33rd save. Ellis has the game. Dex says October's leadoff hitter is a catcher.
Atlanta are 89-63, first in the East. Philadelphia lost 3-6 at Washington and are 83-68, five and a half back, with ten to play for Atlanta and eleven for Philadelphia. The magic number is five by MLB's count.
This morning's edition said Reynaldo López was headed to the injured list and not yet on it, which is what MLB's transactions feed showed at 7:33. By evening the row was there, dated Tuesday: "Atlanta Braves placed RHP Reynaldo López on the 15-day injured list. Right shoulder inflammation." No retroactive date appears. JR Ritchie was recalled from Gwinnett the same day and is listed to start Wednesday at 7:40 against Shota Imanaga, game three at Wrigley.
Falcons
No game, and the other Monday move is still not posted. As of 11:15 Tuesday night, Da'Shawn Hand is on ESPN's roster page, absent from ESPN's transactions feed and the club's transactions page, both of which stop at September 12, and listed on the defensive line of the club's own Week 2 depth chart, posted Tuesday at 4:38 with one change from Week 1, Cameron Williams's removal. Miles wrote the dated negative Monday night; it holds a day later.
On the quarterbacks, the only Tuesday club post that touches them is that depth chart, whose Kevin Stefanski sentence is Monday's, the latest availability the club lists. The Falcoholic reported Tuesday morning that the club's media schedule has Cooper Rush in Wednesday's starting-quarterback slot, and the site itself says that is not an announcement. Wednesday's practice report gives Tua Tagovailoa, Michael Penix Jr. and Chris Lindstrom their first Week 2 participation labels. Sunday is Carolina at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, 1:00, on FOX.

One more thing. Tuesday was Roberto Clemente Day on MLB's calendar, every player in the league in a 21 patch. Three Braves wore the number: the box score from Wrigley lists Chris Sale, Brent Suter and Mauricio Dubón at 21, and MLB's transactions feed logged the three changes the same day as the López row. A tribute and a roster move in the same feed.
